Description

Famous medieval hunting scene which origins lead us to the Sassanid mythology, to King Bahram (a.k.a. Bahram Gur), who was a famous hunter. These hunting scenes pictured in several other silks and silver objects during the Early Medieval period.

The original of our current silk is probably prodeced by Chinese weaving workshop during the VIIth or VIIIth century.

Fabric redesigned from the extant textile by Sartor Bohemia.
