Original silk fragment is from the Shrine of Elisabeth, and dated to the XIIIth century.
The silk most likely has an Italian origin. It was likely a bordering of a cloth.
On the pattern there are classical motifs of stars and flovers. inside in the edging circle we can see a wolf- of boar-like creature.
